Seriously, though. If you're reading this and live in the Wisconsin area...do not, I repeat, do not attend UW Richland or allow any of your loved ones to do so. Common side effects of UW Richland include drama, loss of significant and other friends, depression, cutting, anorexia, suicidal thoughts, and insomnia in most individuals. It is sooo not the best start for the life you want. It makes me sing that song from Gilmore Girls when Jess first gets to Stars Hollow: "this is hell, this is hell..."
But the thing that makes it all worth it:
I'm getting out sometime!!!
Richland Center has lost all appeal to me. My sister recently got married and moved to Minnesota. She and I are freakishly close and best friends, and she's my personal sunshine. She was the only reason I was staying here and now that she's gone and I'm locked in here, without my other half...it sucks.
"Meet me past the train tracks cause I'm leaving and not coming back...."
pfft. I wish.
Despite absolutely hating my school and this town with every fiber of my being....
I love my life, and the people that are in it.
I'm really close to my family. They're always there for me no matter what. And not just my biological family, although I love them too. My family has picked and chose individuals over the years that for some reason, decide they're not embarrassed to be seen in public with us and have become my family. I have two sisters, three brothers, and a set of grandparents I share no DNA with. Oh, and two cousins, also.
Not to mention my friends, however few they may be. I love them to the death of me. I don't need a big group of shallow acquiantance friends, although I do have a few, but I love the people who are there for me and never left. I really value honesty and loyalty, and in small town Wisconsin, those traits seem to be....lacking, so I treasure them when I find them.
I haven't been doing much artistically because of finals and last minute projects, but that'll change after Christmas because I'll have almost a full month of free time before next semester...yay!! Plus, next semester looks much, much easier than this one. Only fourteen credits: Computer Science, Intro to Psychology, World History after 1500, Math 110, and Journalism.
Yep. that's my current life in a nutshell. i love my crazy, wonderful, sometimes tragic, beautiful, busy, almost magic life.
